I really like this cedar planter-& so do my sunflowers. The planter looks swell on my deck. I also really appreciated the very good video instructions, especially about the lining. I did have to get a handy man to help me. I wasn’t expecting the lining but I guess it’s necessary. A bit awkward to set up though. Video helped. What if it really rains hard? Does the water go through the lining? Will the plants get too soaked? Just wondering.

Hi, hope the photos came through. The planter looks great. The assembly took a bit of figuring out by my Spanish speaking landscaper and me, even with the downloaded video, but we got there. There are three levels of patio behind my townhouse, and the planter is in the lowest level. The photos show it from each level. I'm very pleased with the results.
This large unit is excellent. It is attractive, in my case on a small front deck along with large pots of flowers. I put a filler of wood chips in before filling the top half with good rich earth, One does not have to use good earth to fill the entire unit, given its depth. Am advanced in years and a raised bed for veg makes maintenance of plantings very easy.

Easy assembly I completed mine in 30 min having a work table makes it easier. The pre drilled holes were on point. Added an upper deck to put my potted plants on so they can get Sun in our temporary apartment until we move into our new permanent home. Once there I will add the Blk cloth and fill with dirt. I do wish there was an option to buy with castors for the ability to move around once filled with dirt. Great planter looks great and is very sturdy.
Easy to assemble, though at the 60inch size it’s nice to have another set of hands. Everything needed to assemble is included, even the tools. Good quality at a good sale price. As soon as I fill it with soil I’m going to put some lettuces and other greens in for winter in FL.

We use real Western Red Cedar for all of our planters. Cedar is nontoxic, has beautiful natural colours and grain, as well as a wonderful aroma. It thrives in damp climates, withstands many conditions, resists rot, and does not shrink, swell, warp, or decay in weather changes. Cedar allows our planters to last all four seasons in any climate. Cedar is a natural insect repellent, protecting your garden from unwanted critters.
Gardening in a raised garden bed is an easier and longer-lasting gardening option. Raised garden beds provide a controlled gardening environment that allows for a longer growing season and extra protection for the plants. It is also easier to maintain and requires less weeding.
