I’m really pleased with my cedar planter. The quality is really good and it was surprisingly easy to assemble, which is always a bonus! 🌿
It looks lovely in the garden and my plants are already starting to grow, so I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. It feels sturdy, well made and like it’s going to last. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good-quality planter.
Absolutely love Them, I have four. Two of the largest and two of the small they are filled with my favourite flowers so easy to look after and they look so good on my balcony
I ordered 2 cedar planters last autumn and am absolutely delighted with my miniature gardens full of spring bulbs and roses. I have now ordered again (luckily while they are on sale), nothing planted yet (too early), but I did put it together (not difficult, and I’m aged and arthritic!!). The explanatory video showing the installation process is really good. Lots of people comment favourably on the ones that are in full use. Love them.
Really impressed with the quality of the wood, the speed of delivery (from Canada to UK) and the instructions were very clear. Helpful YouTube video made the process simple to follow. Only reason it can’t be 5 star is due to the internal design of the bolts, it makes it extremely fiddly to tighten the nuts with the provided spanner. It wasn’t difficult, it was just more time consuming than it could have been. Overall very happy!
I absolutely love my cedar planter, the delivery was fast and the planter went together in no time at all, it's beautifully made using sustainable products and its a perfect height which makes gardening easy
It has really enhanced my little garden and looks amazing
Arrived beautifully boxed and was so easy to assemble. The greenhouse accessory was also very easy to assemble and attach to the planter.
I have a selection of autumn veggies growing happily in the new planter including root veggies as the planter is deep enough for them. It has given an unloved corner of my garden the glow up it needed! I highly recommend
We love these planters. Our patio area needed some herbs and rather than use pots we decided 'go large'. We have three different sizes. Our herbs are obviously small right now but will look great in these planters as they grow, plus no back aches tending to them.
Very easy to assemble ( would suggest two people for ease though ) and the spanner was included which was rather helpful.
One final thing, when they get wet in the rain they smell wonderful.....fresh cedar !
I have downsized to a smaller house and garden.
The raised beds have helped me with more growing space.
They are very sturdy and easy to put together, they will be easy to look after, with no bending down.
Mine are going to be mainly for herbs and flowers.
I am absolutely delighted with them. X
HI CEDAR PLANTERS, herewith photo of our new garden. Very happy indeed, good quality wood, & the legs fitting with nuts & bolts made easy assembly work & very strong. Watched video for simplified instructions. As you see we have created a herb garden witch is easy to maintain & we don`t " enjoy " a backache !!!!
Well done, many thanks. -- John Crouch.
The boxes are good and the quality is high. Some simple paper instructions would be helpful. Also, the video makes it look too easy. Assembling these solo is not easy.
It’s perfect! We are so happy with this planter. We needed to add another piece of wood to bottom (my husband cut it at an angle) to make it level on slanted concrete and to cover an opening in the concrete. The customer service was so helpful in getting us what we needed. We love the finished result!
I can’t wait to fill it with rosemary!
The boxes are the size I need for growing peppers, herbs, garlic, onions, sage, basil and other cooking seasonings.
I bought an extra 18X48 for my daughter in law's gardening try, for Christmas.
We actually have Astro turf in the section of the backyard where our four planters will go.
We’re thankful that these easily installed feet are available so the legs don’t cut thru our expensive turf.
Best raised garden beds! I have 4 (2 18x36 & 2 18x48) and as you can see from the photos, two were set upon early spring & two were purchased in the fall to be set up next year, sitting in my garage not yet unboxed. They fit so well, look beautiful on my patio without taking up a lot of room & deep enough for peppers and tomatoes. No rabbit issues either like most of my neighbors had. These planters are one of a kind, so easy to assemble and well worth it. Love them!
Fits like a glove! So glad I purchased these covers. Having these durable, waterproof and well made covers is a must to protect my raised planters. Love them! (I have 4 raised garden beds, 2 not yet set up and they don’t take much room on my patio - looking forward to spring planting.)
The written and YouTube instructions were clear cut and easy to follow. I was able to use my electric drill on some of the nuts and bolts which save a little time.
Very easy to assemble - video instructions were very clear and helpful. Very sturdy and now ready for next year's spring. We will fill it with plants on our new second floor deck. Also, good service. When we discovered one of the panels was defective and reported it, we received immediate response and a new piece in the mail that week. Good to know they stand by the quality of their product.
The platform feet are a great addition. In our case, the feet protect our brick pavers from scrapes. Additionally, the feet also make it possible to slide the planter for short distances. We've had a terrific experience with all of Cedar Planter products.
Love, love, love these cedar planters! We purchased four 48” raised bed planters. Also purchased the Osmo oil to seal them, non offensive vegetable oil. Easy & fast to apply the oil. We assembled all planters a day later, smooth, easy, all holes lined up for bolts. Very much appreciated the quality of drill holes, square top screws easy set in place. Cedar wood was cut perfectly, and a perfect thickness for high high quality. Go Canada!
Compliments coming in!
We purchased four 48” raised beds to replace our old garden. We love them! Added Jackyled battery operated lights to light them up! Since the gardens become very heavy, the square plastic feet are necessary.
We also oiled the 4 planters to help preserve them. The Osmo oil from Germany was very easy to work with. Used 2 quarts for 4 48” planters.
Really love the cedar planter. Breeze to put together. Love the cedar smell. Living in Florida just planted herbs and a couple tomato plants and its the end of October.
Best herb garden ever, by my back door! So far it’s survived several frosts and still producing!perfect height and I love the cedar scent mixed with the lavender. Thank you. Two more to set up when the snow melts in the spring.
The cover fits like a glove, sturdy material, our cedar planter is entirely protected. With the snug fit and ventilation panels I expect this cover will withstand the Pacific Northwest weather (rain, wind, snow) this winter.
Love the red cedar (although is there a ton of white cedar in Ontario?) and a great design. All the bolt holes in the cedar lined up on the corner pieces, so assembly was painless. I know from other cedar projects that it is a soft wood, so I was careful not to overtighten the bolts and crush the wood, but it might be helpful if you determined the proper torque amount. To preserve the clear look and color, I finished the exterior with 6 coats of exterior polyurethane, but realized it would have been better if I had finished them BEFORE assembly.
Easy to put together, well built, wirh 3/4 inch cedar boards
They also give you extra hardware and a wrench to tighten the nuts and a nice vinyl pouch to store the extra stuff in. Also comes with a thick sheet of fabric for weed block I think it is a Really nice planter for the price.
Love the Quality of the planter. Easily assembled especially with the video. Haven't had an opportunity to use as the weather for planting my tomatoes has passed. Can't wait unit next season. My son also was attracted to the planter and is considering a purchase. He lives in a home in a rustic/rural wooded area with wildlife. He has a deck he would also place it on.
